Although not set to host a press conference at MWC 2012, Samsung is tipped to be readying the release of a bezel-free smartphone
?
New rumours have suggested Samsung is currently putting the finishing touches to an all new handset with the Samsung Galaxy B tipped to land as the world's first bezel-less smartphone.
Taking a number of design hints from a series of high-end television sets, the as yet unconfirmed Samsung Galaxy B is said to be heading for launch later this year with an edge-to-edge screen that completely engulfs the handset's body.
According to reports from the Maeil Business Newspaper, the Galaxy B, which could well land as the eagerly awaited Samsung Galaxy S3, will feature a screen that runs from one edge to the other of the handset's form with a small space left at the top of the device for the inbuilt speaker and front-facing camera.
It is said the handset's oversized screen will force Samsung to ditch the rounded-edged design that has featured on many of its recent flagship devices.
Samsung Galaxy S3 Rumours
Whilst nothing is yet confirmed a number of recent leaked reports have suggested the Samsung Galaxy S3 will land with a minimalist 7mm form factor as well as a bevy of high-end specs including a 4.65-inch rendition of the company?s now trademark HD Super AMOLED display with a stunning 1280 x 720p resolution.
Other expected Samsung Galaxy S3 specs that have been doing the rounds ahead of the handset?s unveiling include 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and a hefty 12-megapixel rear-mounted camera with the now customary 1080p Full HD video recording capabilities. A 2GHz dual-core processor has also been tipped for inclusion.
Much like the current Motorola RAZR, the Samsung Galaxy S3 is one of a number of handsets rumoured to be adding a nano tech coating in the form of the recently unveiled Liquipel that will see the device able to withstand the odd toilet drop or drink spill.
Would an edge-to-edge, bezel-free display tempt you into splashing out on the next-generation flagship Samsung handset? Let us know via the T3 Twitter and Facebook feeds.
