A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a 24-year-old criminal after police say he took off from his Kamloops half-way house.
Kamloops RCMP Staff Sgt. Grant Learned said Mounties went to the residence to conduct a curfew check and found no sign of Kristopher Pack. It's not known when the curfew check was conducted.
Pack was serving a two-year federal sentence for theft over $5,000, failure to stop and dangerous driving, and has in the past been convicted of crimes involving violence, weapons and theft.
Learned said he's also known to be a drug user.
Pack is not from Kamloops. All of his criminal convictions are out of northern B.C. ? Dawson Creek and Prince George.
He is described as a white male standing five-foot-10 and weighing 212 pounds. He has blue eyes and short brown hair.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
