[Duluth, MN] ? Mayor Don Ness and the recently elected City Councilors will be sworn in on Monday January 9, 2012. The event is open to the public. According to a press release, Mayor Don Ness will take the oath of office as part of a very short ceremony. The ceremony will take place in front of Duluth City Hall on 1st Street at noon. A reception will follow in the City Hall rotunda.
A public reception and swearing in ceremony will be held for City Councilors Sharla Gardner, Jay Fosle, Jennifer Julsrud, Garry Krause, Linda Krug, and Emily Larson at 6:00 pm at the Clyde Iron Event Center, 2920 West Michigan Street.
A public reception in celebration of the inaugurations of the Mayor and Councilors will begin at 7:00 pm at Clyde Iron. The reception will feature live music by Teague Alexy and the Boomchucks.
All events are free and open to the public.
The Mayor?s State of the City Address will be held on March 5.
