remodeling to improve value of home? - Decorating & Remodeling ...

remodeling to improve value of home?Reviewed by Homedesign on Sep 9.Rating:

A visitor need help to answer a question about remodeling to improve value of home?. My husband I live in a gated community and are trying to sell our house. We bought it in 2003 for 1.2 million and have made upgrades since then, it is now appraised at 1.8 million. The house is only 5 years old, and we want to sell it for at least 2 million, but have nothing left to do to raise the appraised price. Does anyone have any good advice for us? Maybe little things that could make the house sell for more

In my humble opinion, with my experiences in home remodeling? here is my best answer.
This is a down market. You can only get what ever the value is in your area. Look at recent sales and homes that are currently under-contract.
As far as the house goes, make sure you don?t have to many personel items family photo?s etc. NO GLUTTER. All of your room should be easy to walk through and be painted a warm but nutural color. It sounds boring but you have to look at your house as a product and not a home when trying to attract buyers. Feel free to contact me I?d be happy to refer you a highly experienced real estate professional in your area.
Good Luck
